Key tasks & responsibilities:
- Manage the European Trucking Team, provide support, knowledge and motivate them on daily basis. Be their first point of contact and escalation point.
- Supervise and control the performance of the offline handling agents and solving of daily handling issues
- Take overall responsibility for the departmental results
- Review and measures the departmental performance against given objectives on a continuous basis
- Control, measure and report on trucking issues, opportunities and development plans and achievements within agreed formats and time parameters
- Control performance in accountable areas, according to agreed standards and take necessary action to communicate, advise and assist according to performance levels
- Planning of Duty Rosters, vacation plans and training
- Create overviews, statistics & reports to control the performance and expenses of the trucking department and their suppliers
- Create and adjust trucking set-ups at all current and new European stations in order to meet the requirements
Requirements:
- Able to work to tight deadlines and with minimum supervision and in multi-national team and environment
- Knowledge in leading a team
- Strong organizational skills
- Able to take and give instructions
- Fluent in local language & English (very good knowledge in both, verbal and written); other languages in addition are welcome
- In possession of a valid driver’s license
- Customer-oriented behavior
- Background: higher education and a minimum of 3 year experience in the field of Trucking and /or Logistics
- Familiar and experienced with MS Office
